The ISD Cycling Team is a professional team with Professional Continental UCI license, affiliated in Italy and founded in 2009. The Management is constituted by an Italian part, made up by former professional riders that have already been involved for several years in the development and management of cycling teams, and by an Ukraine part, made up by some important managers coming from the Multinational brand ISD.
This double entity of the management is the symbol of the internationality of the group, even though this is not the only reason why the team has been built up this way: other technical and managerial reasons, unique in the sector of professional cycling, have been taken into account too. The team is made up of an unique management site, in San Baronto (Pistoia, in Tuscany), where all the riders are hosted together with a large part of the staff.
The ISD project provides a gradual growth in three years, with the objective of land within the 3rd year in the top 10 of the best team in the world. To achieve this goal, the managements of the team have built a young team made up by young talents accompanied by elements of experience and quality as a guide for proper growth. With the aim to grow its own young cyclists, for 2009 the management has set a Continental team (with the same name) and an amateur team, giving continuity to the Neri Sottoli Team that won a lot of races in the last 5 years among the under 23.
